About Everything But Time, Inc.
It’s
7 p.m. and you’re driving home after a day of non-stop deadlines
and crises. You
can’t wait to get in the door, have a bite to eat, put up your feet
and relax. And then you
remember: you forgot to pick up your good suit — the one you were
going to wear for
tomorrow’s meeting with the new recruits — and the cleaners
is now closed. And you
still haven’t found time to call the plumber, shop for groceries
and or walk the dog!
Sound familiar? If so you’re not alone. Millions of Americans are
achieving their financial
goals, while sacrificing their home and personal life. According
to a recent survey,
parents have an average of 30.8 hours worth of “stuff” to
do in a 24-hour day! On top of
that, workers in the United States enjoy less vacation time than workers
in other
industrialized nations. And corporate America’s recent productivity
push has only
exacerbated the time crunch!
I know firsthand what it’s like to suffer from “time starvation.”
During my 17-year
corporate career, I worked long hours and traveled frequently. I
had no time to walk my
dog, mow my lawn or wait for the electrician. To make life easier, I tried
every time
management trick in the book — at one point I even sold my beloved
home to live closer
to work so I could shorten my commute.
But I still needed outside help to maintain the home front. After some
trial and error, I
found a great dog walker. But she didn’t pick up my cleaning or
wait for the repairman! I
ended up using my cherished vacation time to deal with mini-crises at
home!
That’s why I started Everything But Time, Inc., to help time-starved
households in
Chicagoland.
This bonded and insured concierge service helps clients with personal
shopping, errands, house-sitting, pet-sitting, checking on elderly relatives,
and special
occasion planning and preparation. We’ll also wait at your home
to sign for that special
delivery or open the door for the plumber or the electrician. Need something
else? You
name it, and we’ll try to do it! If
we cannot personally help, we'll help you find a
professional who can. We
pride ourselves on great customer service and offer
dependable, friendly service. Call today—you’ll be glad
you did!

More
about us...
How
long have you been in business?
I launched the
business in August 2004 after a 17 year career with a large local
corporation.
Why did you choose
this business?
I recognize
the need is so great! I have first-hand experience suffering from
"time starvation" I sorely needed the services I now offer
to others.
What's your greatest
current challenge?
Because this
is such a personal service, my biggest challenge is getting
myself out in front of potential customers. This is just not a service
you go
looking for in the phone book! As a consumer you want to either
know
someone who has used the service before, or you want to know the person
in
charge. That's me!
What do you like
about this work?
First, I like
the variety of it all. But I really enjoy adding to the quality
of life of my
customers by taking some of the stress out of their long, busy days.
What's your business
philosophy?
Customer service
is everything! Show up on time with a great attitude, do the
best job possible, ask for customer feedback and make sure you use it!
